How do you scream on twitter? That’s the question that Yoani Sanchez has been posing to vent her frustration at not being able to see her own blogposts at Generación Y.

Yoani continues to blog in Cuba without being able to see and participate in the dialogues emerging around her posts. Is twitter an alternative? Given the difficulty of blocking access, of its use on mobile phones, then perhaps yes. But what about its impact for a writer such as Yoani whose power rests not only in the fact of her counter-public voice but also, and perhaps more importantly, in the resonances that her posts evoke?
